Italian Explosion Proof Table Lamp Conversion.
 
Made by Cortem a manufacturer of explosion proof electrical equipment these lights were specifically designed to light up hazardous areas close to the operator and to the equipment.
 
Substantial cast aluminium base with numbered glass dome and copper blast cage, finished with RAL 7035 epoxy coating.
 
There is a manufacturers specification on the side which shows the Atex rating and the electrical ingress rating which is IP66.
 
The light can also be used on the ceiling or walls by removing the feet or they can be fixed to a cable tray.
 
New electrics and copper gland have been installed which compliment its vintage industrial appearance.
