Fitted with a 300watt tungsten / halogen lamp which suits the fixture perfectly in terms of size and lighting levels, its bright! When using a dimmer the lamp life can be increased significantly.
 
There are Atex (Ex) markings on the fixture to confirm the explosion proof attributes. The glass dome is 25mm thick and is very substantial.
You can access the lamp by removing the cage and turning the glass dome.
 
There is manufacturers mark and serial numbers throughout.  This one would look outstanding above a kitchen island, poker or snooker table, or as a centre piece in most modern environments.
